Website Migration into CMS

Cableflow International Ltd approached us to see if we could help them with a couple of problems they were experiencing with their website.

  • Their current site used static HTML pages which they were no longer able to update themselves as the person who originally created the site no longer worked for the company and no one else had the required knowledge. The site was out dated and also had broken links to images.
  • They were receiving a lot of spam email in their Sales Mailbox which they believed was being harvested from their sales@cableflow.com email address visible on the website

They liked the design of their current site, but wanted to be able to easily update the content themselves, so we built a new website using a Content Management System keeping to the original design, layout, funtionality, content etc as closely as possible.

We did however add some new funtionality to the website in the form of Contact / Enquiry Forms which incorporate hidden captcha’s and deliverying to a newly created alternative email address to sales@ inorder to set a new base line for monitoring spam.

Inorder to try and protect the visible sales@cableflow.com email on the website from any further harvesting, the email address was encoded, but is readable when viewed by a visitor using a web browser. ‘Spambots’ (automated programs) attempting to harvest email addresses from the site will see the encoded address.
